sewing saturday from Not Afraid of Color

welcome to this week's sewing round up! Lots of finishing going on this week and some RSC lime green scraps used too. The picture above is the Purple Mountains finish.. 

I'll show some close ups while telling you about it. I started it a few months ago and got inspired to quilt and finish it this week. Lots of metallic sparkling threads, free motion quilting and some flowers...

sewing saturday... purple impro log cabins and two finishes! from Not Afraid of Color

 

Welcome to this week's sewing round up! Starting with my two little friends. 
I LOVE elephants and watch videos to calm myself... so when I saw someone made an elephant applique quilt I began searching the internet for patterns. 
I decided to download two free coloring book pages to make a pattern, and then thought, how about a felt stuffie? I have some cute felt scraps in dots, and pink with white dots...and found a free pattern which I put on word to enlarge a bit. I cannot find the pattern online again, and the maker did not ...

sewing saturday from Not Afraid of Color

I know I posted about sewing and showed three quilts yesterday, but today is my usual Sewing Saturday so I'll show you the design wall. I made some bright green improv log cabin blocks to go with the two colors from Rainbow Scrap challenge so far.

I made one with a mix of orange and green, just because.

I really like this process, adding strips and seeing how it develops.
